 Tuberculosis is a dangerous and very contagious disease that is transmitted from one person to another through the droplets that come out from the mouth and nose in the case of sneezing or coughing and attacking the lungs most often, it is caused by the TB bacteria (TB). And while it is not detected in time, it may cause Danger to human life.

  • You may have TB, but your immune system does the job.
  • Types of TB:
  • Inactive TB: the bacteria in this case are inactive, meaning that your body contains TB bacteria, but they are latent and not infectious, but over time they can become active if the necessary treatment is not taken.
  • Active tuberculosis: it is often contagious and is transmitted from person to person through droplets. This is the most dangerous and you will have symptoms of the disease sooner or later.
  • TB symptoms:
  • Most often, symptoms appear in people with active TB, and they are noticeable:
  • A prolonged, uninterrupted cough.
  • Coughing up blood.
  • Fatigue and tiredness.
  • Sharp pains in the chest.
  • Loss of the desire to eat and thus weight loss.
  • Sweating a lot, especially at night.
  • Symptoms vary according to the location of the injury because there are those who affect the spine, the brain, or even the kidneys.
  • Causes of TB:
  • You can get TB from another person through the infection.
  • Caused by one of the strains of mycobacteria, which is Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
  • And tuberculosis always progresses, that is, there are stages in which the tuberculosis is resistant to drugs, so that the antibiotic no longer gives effect as before.
  • treatment:
  • You should not be anxious in the event of tuberculosis, especially if it is only in the early stages, you must follow the doctor’s prescription and take medicines at the appropriate time for a period of six months and sometimes less. Most of these medicines are ethambutol, streptomycin because they contain antibiotics, and the cure for tuberculosis is a complete cure. After at least six months, to get rid of the bacteria that cause TB.
  • If you get TB:
  • Isolate yourself as much as possible from your family and friends in order to avoid infection and to preserve the safety of others. 
  • Use plastic plates only to be careful and wear a mask, especially if you are in meetings and avoid sitting in a narrow room with people and sit in places with ventilation.
